BICYCLE STORAGE FACILITY
SIENNA CENTER WARSZAWA

The first implementation carried out by Bike2Box, 46 parking points

“MINT AND ORANGE”

The bike parking facility at the Sienna Center building located in the Wola district of Warsaw was our first implementation, completed in August 2016. At request of the CA Immo fund, the owner of that real estate, we created a bike storage facility for 46 bikes, which we managed to contain within the area equal to 4 car parking spaces thanks to the solutions applied.

Sienna Center, located between Sienna, Twarda, Złota and Żelazna streets, is a building that was built in 1998, when the demand for professional infrastructure for cyclists in office building practically did not exist. A lot has changed since then. The employees decide more and more often to commute by bike to save time and money, and the majority of class A office buildings features large bicycle parking facilities. The owner recognised the growing demand for bike parking solutions among their lessees and thus turned to us with an offer of collaboration in building modernisation.

100% EXTRA SPACE

“For the Sienna Center project we employed 30 innovative wall bike racks of the BikeUp type, which enable adapting difficult and relatively small spaces in the most optimal manner, as well as 8 traditional bike U-racks. The office building gained 46 new bike parking points. The bike hangers applied allowed us to use optimally the space available and gain over 100% more bike parking points. The whole project was supplemented with specially designed wall graphics and a visual identification system. The “Mint with orange” has already experienced two expansions and the number of cyclists keeps growing, which pleases us the most,” says Radosław Kozubski, CEO of Bike2Box.

THE CYCLISTS WILL KEEP COMING

According to Grzegorz Dąbrowski, Property Manager from the Real Estate Management Department of the Cushman & Wakefield company, the building manager, this investment is the beginning of modernising the building with year-round bike users in mind. The manager’s plans for the future include creating a bicycle repair zone, a changing room, and showers, all intended for use by the lessees.
